What encouraged you to set up your own event planning business? After working for a variety of event companies over the years I felt it was time to follow my dreams and set up my own event planning business so that I could support couples and clients with their own weddings and personal celebrations. I absolutely love being my own boss and the feedback I get from clients makes it even more worthwhile!
How far will you travel? I’m very happy to travel across Yorkshire and the UK for any wedding or special occasion. Additional costs to cover mileage will be added to each service when the location is 20 miles outside of Leeds (LS16) but this will always be made clear in writing before a booking is made.
Do you offer a free consultation? Yes, always! I love to meet my potential couples and clients in person before any booking is made so that we can get to know each other and discuss your requirements in detail. The consultation can take place at your home, at the venue, in a cafe, pub – wherever you like!
Do you only work with and recommend preferred suppliers? Over the years I have worked with so many suppliers both in the wedding and events industry who are very passionate about their businesses and love what they do. It’s important that we not only choose the right suppliers that fit in with your vision but also those that are reliable and trustworthy. I have a variety of suppliers who I would happily recommend but am constantly updating this and actively meeting and working with new suppliers all of the time.
Why should I hire a wedding planner? Planning a wedding is not only time consuming but often overwhelming and stressful. On average, couples will plan their big day for 15 months so having a professional and experienced events professional on board to guide you all the way and be there on the day can relieve a lot of stress and worry. I can also save you hours and hours of research by recommending some of the most passionate and hardworking suppliers in the area and be on hand to offer guidance whenever you need it. My business is my passion and I always make myself available to my couples no matter what.

Can each service you offer be tailored to suit our requirements? Yes definitely! All services are offered as a guide but I understand that every wedding is different so I can adapt any service to suit you and your requirements perfectly.
Do you mainly plan outdoor weddings or can we book you for our hotel wedding? My planning services mainly cover outdoor and DIY weddings that take place at an outdoor venue, in a field, a garden, barn, pub, village hall or industrial setting. I like to able to offer my services to a variety of settings so will always be available to support you with the planning of your hotel or stately home wedding. There are many benefits to having a freelance planner at a venue that already has an in house coordinator. As an experienced planner I oversee the arrangements as a whole including managing all suppliers and putting together a schedule to ensure everyone is aware of the timings etc.
When should we book you as our wedding planner? This all depends on the service you are looking for. For full and partial planning services it’s worth booking as soon as you start embarking on the planning so that I can be with you every step of the way. For on the day coordination bookings especially in peak season (from May – October) I usually suggest that you get in touch as soon as you have your venue or location booked to avoid disappointment. I only take on a limited number of bookings during peak season to ensure that each and every couple are getting an excellent service throughout.
What deposit do you require at the time of booking? For full, partial and on the day coordination bookings I ask for a 30% non refundable deposit to hold your date. The remaining amount is then due four weeks prior to your wedding day. For supplier and venue sourcing I ask for the total amount at the time of booking.
What kind of celebrations do you organise? As well as being a wedding planner I also support clients with their personal celebrations which I really enjoy. From themed birthday parties to wedding anniversaries and engagements, I like to get involved with any party no matter the occasion! A lot of clients get in touch to ask for support with sourcing suppliers or finding the perfect venue. I can also be there on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly, leaving you to enjoy your party to the fullest.
What services do you offer? For parties and celebrations I can pretty much be involved as much or as little as you like! From sourcing suppliers to planning the whole celebration including being there on the day, each and every package is put together based on your requirements and needs. What deposit do you require at the time of booking? For parties and celebrations I usually ask for payment in full at the time of booking but this all depends on the chosen package. For full planning a non refundable 30% deposit will be required to secure the booking followed by the remaining amount four weeks before the celebration.
