2021 may have started with a lot of uncertainty, worry and frustration BUT thankfully from spring onwards I was back doing what I love and supporting lots of lovely clients with their personal celebrations.
I’m a big believer in starting a new year on a positive note, so what better way to do that then look back at the last 12 months and round up my business highlights!
Personal celebrations
This year was my busiest year for party enquiries and bookings. I think with Covid being around for so long a lot of people really wanted to make the most of their personal celebrations this year. I’ve been so grateful to be part of many milestone birthdays, hen parties and celebrations for little people.

The opportunity to travel
I’ve been lucky to have lots of local bookings this year, but having the opportunity to travel further afield is always lovely as it enables me to work with new suppliers and meet lots of new people. In September I coordinated Hannah and Bob’s wedding in Newcastle, it was amazing to go back up North after so long – I’m really hoping for future bookings in such a fab city.

Thoughtful clients
I can’t even put into words how generous and lovely my clients have been this year. I never expect anything but to have cards, flowers and gifts delivered to my door has made this year so amazing and really made me realise how lucky I am to do what I love.

Seeing my postponed couples finally get married!
With all the postponements from 2020, it was amazing to see so many of my couples finally be able to enjoy their special day this year. I’m also looking forward to my 2022 couples who have waited so long to get married, it’s going to be one heck of a year!

My first wedding childcare booking collaboration
In December, I teamed up with the fabulous Michelle from Rhythm Camp Events to offer wedding childcare with a difference for over 20 children. It was such a delight to see the children enjoying the craft stations and making the day so memorable for them. We’re so excited to work together again in 2022 for those larger wedding bookings.
Variety of events
Lastly I wanted to highlight the variety of work this year has brought me. Every single wedding and celebration I have planned or coordinated has been so unique and fun. I do sometimes have to pinch myself as I feel so lucky to work in so many amazing places. I can’t wait to see where next year takes me!
Let me know your highlights in the comments. Here’s to an exciting and positive 2022, no matter what’s thrown at us.
Happy New Year 🙂
