On 18 August 2018 I was at the beautiful Escrick Park in York coordinating a tipi wedding for Keely and Ryan. I was super excited as not only are they a lovely couple but I had been part of a photoshoot at this very venue in May 2017 so couldn’t wait to be back! This wedding venue not only offers copious amounts of land for a tipi, marquee, yurt – it also has a stunning woodland where you can hold legal ceremonies as well as blessings.
From the moment I met Keely and Ryan I just knew they were going to be a dream of a couple to support. I instantly clicked with them and felt so comfortable with their friends and family when I arrived the day before the wedding to see how the set up was going, and check a few important details ahead of the big day!
Drinks Reception
After the beautiful woodland ceremony (and the all important confetti shot!), guests enjoyed a stroll up to the tipi to sip on cocktails by the fabulous Nelly’s Bar and delicious canapes from Cater me Tasty whilst congratulating Keely & Ryan and enjoying the summer sunshine.
Wedding Breakfast
Guests were then treated to more tasty food by Cater me Tasty followed by a delicious dessert table which was all homemade! Family and friends had gone to so much effort to ensure the cake table was full of delicious desserts including two wedding cakes! 
Decoration
Everything about this wedding was truly stunning but I just loved how they had decorated the tipi with floral hoops, copper lighting and personalised touches here and there. DIY weddings really do give you the flexibility to create a day that is so personal and all about you as a couple which is why I love them so much.
Evening Entertainment
Keely and Ryan booked The Wedding Jam as their DJ for the evening. There was always someone on the dancefloor which is a good sign! 
Evening Catering
Whilst dancing the night away and sitting by the fire pits, guests enjoyed stone baked pizza, freshly made on site by Dough Eyed Pizza who are based in York. I may have had a slice or two and it was super tasty!
All in all the day was amazing and it was a pleasure to coordinate Keely and Ryan’s special day. They both looked so happy!
